Nice to meet you.
I’m Alaena — a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDNP), board-certified holistic health practitioner, registered occupational therapist, mother of three, and holistic health author and researcher specializing in women’s hormone, digestive, autoimmune, and root-cause health.
My work is built on a simple belief: no symptom is normal and when the body feels off, there is always a reason — and too often, that reason is overlooked, minimized, or never fully investigated.
Through Root & Remedy, I take an intuitive, whole-body approach to uncovering the deeper patterns driving symptoms like hormone imbalance, digestive dysfunction, skin issues, fertility struggles, inflammation, fatigue, and burnout.
Rather than chasing symptoms in isolation, I help women understand how everything is connected — creating a fuller picture of what’s driving dysfunction whether it started three months ago or thirty years ago.
My work is for the woman who feels dismissed, exhausted from searching for answers, or stuck hearing that her labs are “normal” while knowing deep down something still isn’t right.
Because symptoms are communication. And when you learn how to interpret them correctly, the body often makes far more sense than you’ve been led to believe.
